Royal Spanish Federation of Livestock Purebred Associations (RFEAGAS), member of The International Committee for Animal Recording organized 46th Conference “BREEDING FOR RESILIENCE: TRANSITIONING DIVERSE LIVESTOCK FARMING SYSTEMS INTO THE FUTURE”.
Almost 400 attendees from 37 countries were warmly welcomed in Toledo last week. More than a hundred papers were presented during the Scientific program of the Conference. 12 sessions, 2 open workshops, joint Round Table with ANEMBA, Manufacturer showcase were celebrated during 24th -25th of May in hospitable Castilla-La Mancha region. The ICAR finished with amazing Gala Dinner at Cigarral del Angel and 3 professional tours to see the value chain of Frisona dairy cattle, Avileña Negra Ibérica 100% Autochthonous Breed beef cattle, Murciano-granadina 100% Autochthonous Breed dairy goat.
ICAR was covered international media from USA, China, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Tunisia, New Zealand invited by ICEX-RFEAGAS collaboration. Moreover, opinion leaders has the opportunity to visit Spanish livestock farms and interview local farmers.
